Faces of Death featuring Dow Jones Release Ancestor’s Revenge
In the era of Black Lives Matters, the Alt-Right and daily --if not hourly --social, political and racial controversy, Shamako Noble and Will See (Faces of Death), along with Detroit Emcee Dow Jones release a shocking new track that will shatter the status quo. Inspired by the events of 2014-2016, as well as the historical struggle for liberation, equity and self-determination, Ancestor’s Revenge is an adventure that takes us from the Slave ships, into the battles of the multiple centuries into the future of NOW. It’s a thought-provoking, emotional and spiritually challenging track that blends styles, approaches and sonic methods.
Released during the week of Kwanzaa, the project will be promoted and utilized to spark a series of dialogues on the principles, concepts and urgent concerns that confront our families, communities and ourselves in what is sure to be an eventful and historical year. On this note, we celebrate many of the core principles of Kwanzaa such as Cooperative Economics, Unity, Self Determination and Faith, releasing this song as a celebration, statement, and call to action.
